Calm Workplace – Work Related Stress Audit (WRSA) gives employers of all types and sizes an easy to implement and cost effective way to help meet the Health and Safety Executive’ s (HSE) new stress management standards issued in November of last year. A web based audit tool which can be customised to meet the needs of individual employers, Calm Workplace – WRSA uses the questionnaire developed by the HSE themselves ( HSE Indicator Tool for Work Related Stress) to gather data on potential stressors in a workplace environment. The tool provides a sophisticated analysis capability to help organisations identify precisely where problems occur. Additional questionnaires are also provided in the tool. One of these - 'Signs and Symptoms', is designed to find out if those taking part in the survey are actually displaying symptoms of being under stress. This allows companies to gain a better understanding of the problems they are facing. The Signs and Symptoms questionnaire can also be used as a tool to monitor a change process within an organisation. When significant change such as a merger occurs this can cause tensions as company cultures clash or there is a fear of downsizing. Signs and Symptoms can be used to take a 'stress snapshot' of the organisation which future surveys can use as a baseline as the change process takes place. The analysis carried out by WRSA reflects the way that you have chosen to set up your audit allowing results to be broken down by the demographics or organisational structure you have chosen. One report specifically analyses the data in the way suggested by the HSE. Although it is Internet enabled, the system still allows data to be collected from employees who do not have access to a web browser. It has also been designed to be easily configured and used by any size of organisation.
